On the old ones, they read:
The same sentence on the new ones is bolded and reads:
This concerns me because the entire reason for buying these certs was to pay for my room at a convention that I'll be attending this summer. Obviously, the convention has negotiated a special rate, leaving me with several questions.
- Has anyone had problems with this clause?
- Are they only going to accept some of my certs, and not all of them?
- I had thought about buying several more to pay for upcoming business travel where my company gets a special corporate rate. With the new language, I'm worried that they might not be accepted. Any ideas?
The way I see it you should have no concerns
Worse case scenario Costco will refund unused certificates should the hotel refuse them
As long as you are handed a bill and don't have some billing arrangement where you aren't the person paying at check out
I see 0 problem.Essentially I see much of the terms/verbiage as a reason for select Hyatt hotels to have the right to refuse acceptance in certain situations. However even in those special situations I can already think of a number of times they are already not enforcing the so called written terms.
Hope this helps and enjoy your stays with Hyatt
