Terms and conditions

I bought 20 today in Pittsburgh. The cashier looked at me like I was crazy buying $800 worth of certs. Go figure.

Anyway, I must have gotten the last of an old batch and the first set of a new batch because the Terms and Conditions are different on about half of them.

On the old ones, they read:
"Not valid for Casino charges, deposit or payment for group/meeting/catering functions, or for advance purchased packages or at concessions within the hotel not owned and operated by Hyatt."
The same sentence on the new ones is bolded and reads:
"Not valid for Casino charges, concessions within the hotel not owned and operated by Hyatt, packages or rates that require advanced purchase or deposit, deposits, payments for meetings, catering, and group functions, negotiated volume rates (whether paid by the group or on an individual basis) for example, negotiated volume business, organization, meeting, convention, and crew rates. Negotiated volume rates are special rates that have been previously negotiated and agreed to in writing by a business, individual, organization or association in exchange for a "volume" or block of rooms".
This concerns me because the entire reason for buying these certs was to pay for my room at a convention that I'll be attending this summer. Obviously, the convention has negotiated a special rate, leaving me with several questions.
  1. Has anyone had problems with this clause?
  2. Are they only going to accept some of my certs, and not all of them?
  3. I had thought about buying several more to pay for upcoming business travel where my company gets a special corporate rate. With the new language, I'm worried that they might not be accepted. Any ideas?
