What is it with these J seats!!!!!

All happened in one trip:

MIA-LHR Broken seat (wouldn't recline). Was told to take a new seat. Control panel fell out of its place. I had to hold it the whole trip and becasue the way it had fallen, I couldn't keep my seatbelt tight (isn't this a safety issue). Said they "couldn't take a delay for a broken seat to call maintenance."

LGW-DFW Again a broken seat. This time the footrest would not stay up. F/A placed a cart insert under the legrest to prop it up. She said that they have more trouble with the J seats than they do with the electronic seats in F. She said that they have 1 or 2 broken seats on every flight.

Looks like AA needs to increase the inspections on their seats before passenegers board!

I have written to AA but have gottten no response. I just re-faxed a letter to executive offices tonight. We'll see....
