what do you mean by "downgraded" : aircraft type, frequency ?
It's already been announced that the terminator flight to BKK will be with an A343, which was already used on this route during the summer season and also back in 2005 when AF operated briefly direct flights to Vietnam and terminator flights to BKK. So it's not really a downgrade and also if you consider that AF A343 are much more confortable than the 744.
And frequency, I doubt that we'll see a frequency reduction to BKK. AF can clearly fill a daily 343 to BKK
