By mid-Feb I will have about 35000 miles towards elite upgrades and an outbound flight on 28-Feb will put me at 40050 miles, just over the next 10000 mile threshhold to earn 4 upgrade certs. Since it takes 1 to 3 days for the miles to post, I fear that the counters will be reset back to zero and I will lose 5000 miles that count towards elite upgrades. I understand that the cutoff date for the ‘miles towards elite upgrades’ is the end of Feb, but is that the date of earning or posting miles ? I believe that this will require a call to Aadvantage customer service after the fact. Any suggestions from the pros ???
