I am having a potential issue and i am looking for some advice. I made an Airmiles conversion on the 1st of March. It was a few hundred and as i assumed, it was held for security checks. It has been four weeks since and i contacted them on Monday(the 28day mark) & was told to give it another day or two. Contacted them again yesterday to be told that they(Clubcard CS) could not manually add them however they will email the relevent department who will call me to tell my why it is taking so long.

No call as of yet and after reading a couple of posts regarding deals being refused/ammeneded at this final stage -it has got me a little wary.

It was in the £400 region and i have made a larger BA miles conversion that went through fine and a similar Airmiles one also. I have not bought lots of phones(seems to be an issue for others), it is mostly entertainment and dongles.

Anyway, perhaps i am just worrying however if they call to discuss my 'sheer greed' is there anything you would say to ensure that this conversion goes through as i would hate to miss out on 20K of airmiles(first time conversion).
I think the moral of the story is dont bite off more than you can chew. Its dead easy to accumulate tens of thousands of miles each quarter without going crazy.

By abusing the scheme and lets face it that is what you and many others have done by setting up multiple accounts and flaunting bulk buy policies, has ruined it for everyone else. This week being a case in example where the greed of a few has resulted in tescos increasing the prices and removing points from cd's etc, to stop them accumulating ridiculous amounts of clubcard points.

The unwritten rule of clubcard points collecting is not to raise your head above the parapit. In getting caught out at a tescos in store, continually ringing them up you are asking to be gunned down. I suspect someone at tescos/airmiles has picked up on this. You got lucky with your BA conversion.
