I would have thought that if this was going to be a serious problem it would already have been happening with all those convenient winter flights to Geneva for rowdy drunken mobs of male skiing buddies.

As a longstanding traveller to PMI my experience is that chavs automatically assume that BA is not for the likes of them and also presume that LGW, LTN and STN are the only London airports that it is appropriate for them to use. LHR to PMI flights with BMI were always almost completely chav free throughout their 18 year long history.

By and large chavs going to Mallorca still buy package holidays where their flight is usually by charter and older chavs who then somehow find a friend who owns a villa or apartment in Mallorca usually always only seem to think of using Easyjet, probably because they are the only company offering scheduled flights to PMI that actively markets them.

I think the original projected maximum capacity of LCY was 3 million passengers per annum after the runway extension and as the larger Embraers merely have a longer range rather than more passenger capacity than the 100 seater Jumbolinos that they replace I doubt that anything has changed on that front?

Whilst seats on the LCY to PMI route are not especially expensive there have been no really cheap seats (cheapest fare is £138 and that is only available on a few lower season dates) with no hold baggage for only say £58 return of the kind that Ryanair specialise in and that weekend binge drinking chavs (perhaps staying on the floor of the hotel room of their week or two long package holidaying chav friend) would tend to be attracted by.

Also note that this is the only direct flight service from the UK to PMI on which Business class is still available.
