The OP didn't even suffer a loss because of this event. Why would you want someone to compensate you for such a little incident? Of course the OP can pretend to have suffered a huge loss and hope the hotel will offer some form of compensation, but then this is just pure greed.

The OP shouldn't really be asking people what to expect from this. He should be asking himself what he expects from this.
