Sure, that's great. Unfortunately, human beings can and do forget things, particularly when in a hurry which often occurs in airport lounges. Forgetting to logout of AA.com is a pretty small damage area. Forgetting to log out of Bank of America or Fidelity might have more significant consequences. My method requires neither remembering nor forgetting.

The reason I'm as "paranoid" as I am is because I make my living working with and developing technology...

Being paranoid can save you a LOT of trouble. There are, unfortunately,
lots of criminals who target public computers in libraries, Admirals Clubs, etc.
They plant key-stroke loggers and steal credit card numbers, passwords, etc.
This is a real threat to everyone!

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean that they aren't out to get you anyway. :-)
