It has enough tires that two will cause minimal problems. There are blowouts and failed tires on airliners quite often, but one rarely hears about it. The first time it happens with a 380, though, I guess it becomes news. Generally that happens when the tires are a little worn, underinflated and the pilot lands a trifle too abruptly. Usually takes more than one of those things.
