Thank you for the info. Can I ask what the procedure is for getting these upgrades? The JMB forum here doesn't seem to have much information on the subject.
This JAL link suggests that the upgrades can be reserved in advance, but it doesn't say how, and people in the JMB forum hint that it can only be done at the airport. I'd certainly appreciate any help you could give a newbie on this subject.
