I assume this means you land in ORD and the flight to CDG departs 1hr later? This in reality means you have about 15mins between on time arrival and on time boarding. Really too close for comfort. Would go for the 4hr option, hopefully you are EXP/PLT and can enjoy the Flagship lounge or Admirals club.
