I would try contacting your local UA station manager about this issue, especially if you have any status at all on United. I was once put on the selectee list by an obviously racially profiling United employee. I was shocked about the SSSS, as I hadn't ever had it before (and haven't since). I asked the TSA guy, and he said the airline must have done it. I asked the UA gate agent (not the same guy who checked me in, in the elite line) and he said the TSA did it. The station manager had given me his card and written his cell number on the back, as I was one of a relatively small number of MSY based high level elites, so I gave him a call to straighten things out. He called me back and confirmed that the UA CSR did it, that he had counseled him on how elites are to be treated, and that he had gone in and removed the flag on me.
