Given some of the routings and schedules I've been seeing recently on delta.dumb for PAID tickets, this would not surprise me, although there would probably be a 19 hour layover at JFK and a choice of a more expensive routing with 23 hours in ATL. Why do a one-day trip when DL can make it take two or three days? You might still have a fight to get more miles credited than the nonstop distance.
