I have been a DL PM for several years. I am very satisfied with the hard product, FA's, route structure, and BE award tickets. That being said, as much as I love DL, I am very close to doing a status match to UA. Not saying I'm leaving, but to test the waters.
While DL has lots of attributes I adore, due to the absurdly high M fares, I feel the need to look elsewhere. I read GTITAN's (thanks!) detailed posting regarding the SWU Certs of the major carriers, and decided to spend some time in the forums doing my own research.
After much review, it seems UA offers a decent SWU (6 at 100K) which may be used at a decent price. In addition, UA offers complimentary elite upgrades at this time. Lastly, if one misses an upgrade, E+ seems like a good alternative to Y.
So, I'm just curious if any of you have started to cheat on DL, and if so, how do like your new fling.

BTW, lets not turn this into a heated debate. I'm simply interested in those of you whom have spent lots of time flying DL and have recently tried other carriers, and what your thoughts are.
i cheated on delta with UA earlier this month on a TATL to london for dinner. i did it b/c UA has those swus (and i know a lot of people with extras willing to share) and b/c of the fuel dump trick (which now no longer works thanks to airfarewatchdog).
UA matched me to their 50k level, despite that i'm a delta diamond they wouldn't match to 1k. I have until may 1 to fly 8k more miles to keep that status through the end of the year, but not sure if i am going to or not.
just a man wishes his otherwise perfect loving wife would put out a little more so he's no longer tempted to pick up a mistress, i wish delta would put out useable swus to end my temptation.
