Fresh out of my mail box - what appears to be a targeted offer from American Express. It is their Premier Rewards Gold Card; $175 annual fee (waived first year - like I would keep it over a year and pay); spend $500 by May 31 and get 50k Membership Rewards points. It seems that the points turn into miles if you so desire for a whopping $0.0006 per point or all of $30 for 50k miles.

Question is: Does anybody have experience with this card/offer? My gut says to take it and run! Fellow FT'ers please convince me either way.

Wow! Any way to get on the 'target' list? Is there an offer code? Has anyone not targeted been able to apply for the 50k award offer. The best offer I could find otherwise was 15k for this card.
