I have considered the jump to AA. I think that, being in the southeast, the route network would work better for me (and you). Plus, with unlimited upgrades only offered to 100K+ flyers, getting upgrades would be much easier.
Good info. The only issue with AA is Asia. If I pursue status on another carrier, using an SWU to get to south east Asia will be the driving factor. If AA ties up closely with JL and enables its EXPs to use SWUs with them (similar to UA and LH), AA would be the choice.
