Too late for spilt milk, but I would recommend the next purchase using a credit card that extends coverage to breakage (and usually loss) for such an item. Also look on the Internet and locally - you may find someone who can repair it at significantly less than replacement cost (I'd even contact the manufacturer to see what shipping and repair might cost).
