I've searched the forum but can't find a thread on this, so I hope I'm not duplicating. Anyway, people have posted that you can get SPG points for dining at a hotel restaurant, even if you're not staying there. I wanted to know whether this is also the case for using the spa? Has anyone tried this?

Separately, if you're staying at the hotel and paid for parking, are you supposed to get points for that too? I was told no when I stayed at Sheraton Universal last year, but I've seen some people get points for their parking at other properties. Or does that differ across properties?
