Not a chance. I've tried Grand Hyatt Singapore, Hyatt Regency HK and latest is Park Hyatt Shanghai ( 1st stay still OK, but 2nd stay awful ). I've tried to be unbiased but every time I stayed at Hyatt, my impression of their service without fail is awful, with pretentious and incompetent staff that gets on my nerve.

On second thought, maybe I've been jinxed from staying at Hyatts. Anyway, there's lots of great hotels besides Hyatts to choose from.

I suggest, based on this, you stay at the Shangri-La in Hangzhou- it is directly across the street from West Lake. The Hyatt is also directly across the street from West Lake, but not on the "quieter" side- rather in the centre of the city- and also it is not a great Hyatt- just a pretty good (standard) one.
