I heard that Hangzhou is very scenic and peaceful, esp the famous West Lake. That's why I want to visit to take a look for myself.

Will check out the Shangri-la. Rooms looks kind of understated though. But I guess its being in a nice environment that matters more. I heard Banyan Tree resort is also just opened in Hangzhou.

I have swore off staying at any Hyatt hotels due to continuous bad experience property after property ( bad service ), the latest being at the Park Hyatt Shanghai.
