I have travelled a lot. Mainly to the States. I have flown with American, United, Continental, Virgin and BA transatlantic, east coast, west coast and somewhere in between, and will always choose BA. This was the case before I started working for the company too.

I had too many occasions of rude nasty service by old American/United/Continental wagon dragons that I gave up. I did not enjoy the jovial, tacky and somewhat under professional service from Virgin. I always used to go with a carrier based on price, and hence why I ended up on those carriers. I will now pay more than the cheapest fare to fly with BA for the service. I am not saying that BA is perfect when it comes to the service, but have, in my experience, provided a more consistent and friendly service.

Having now discovered the world of FF programs, I like what BAEC offers, I think it is easy to attain and keep FF status with BA, and comparing it to others, offers me more what I require and desire.

I like the product, and now that I have been introduced to Club World, I have become a little bit of a travel snob. But, it is all on my own dime, and if that is what I want to spend my saved up cash on, then that is my choice. I enjoy the lounges at T5, and some of the out station lounges that I have visited, but not that much experience of them yet. I have to admit, having lounge access really does add another dimension of travel. A hidden world that the masses know nothing about.

I am privy to reduced ticket pricing via the BA Hotline staff scheme, which sometimes offer some amazing deals, however not all the time. I tend not to use my staff travel much, and prefer to use the Hotline scheme as it offers confirmed travel. I also find commercial ticketing pricing reasonable if booked in a reasonable time frame. and am happy to pay a percentage more to fly BA than the cheapest carrier, although if there is a massive pricing difference, I would have to reconsider.

So, BA for me! This year, and next, my friends and myself will have spent almost £18,000 on BA flights, and we are very happy with that as we all feel that we are getting good value for money.

Regards,
I agree with all your comments, BA is the best, their maintenance programme is the best in the world, and as x crew I always gave a good service. Never use ST always hotlines, just cannot rely on loads. Of course the BAEC FF programme is great, and having silver makes such a difference, those lounges in T5 are good, and nice to be away from all the masses. Will always fly BA^
