Why do you choose to fly BA?
To use up my air miles...
I used to fly BA as my first choice and have been an executive club member for over 20 years. Although the quality of the service became less good over time, there were 2 things that finally made me stop buying tickets from BA and start using up my airmiles.
1. BA only gives 25% air miles for flight in economy class, when partner airlines give 1 for 1. I do at least one round the world trip a year, and on AA and Qantas this will give me enough air miles for a trans-atlantic flight, but not on BA.
2. The final straw was when BA changed their policy so that you can only choose your seats 24 hours before the flight. Virtually every other airline allows you to choose your seats when you book (and American allows you to keep checking the map and change your seats virtually up to the flight time, which may increase your chance of getting next to an empty seat). And yes I know BA now allows you to choose your seat in advance if you pay an exorbitant amount for this, while everyone else allows you to choose a seat for free.
3. I can also compare BA World Traveller Plus and Qantas Premium Economy - Qantas treats these passengers much better.
