Hey there BOS Guy! I am not sure about the lines at BOS, but I can certainly tell you about the lines at SFO.

If you are taking AA196 that leaves at 7:15am, I would recommend getting to the airport around 90 minutes ahead of time. The lines at security... depending on how full the flights are... may take at the most, 30 minutes. That is if all the flights are full. But my average has been about 10 minutes.

The ticket counter lines are chaotic and lengthy. AA does not seem to man enough people at the counter. First class is no better than coach. If you are traveling First Class on their 3 class plane, try checking in at the Admirals Club. But that's only if you're in First class. Business class does not give you access (unless you are traveling INT'L).

Give yourself a little bit of time. Oh, one more thing. AA does not have any good food vendors in their concourse. If you want to grab something to eat... you might want to do it before you go through security. Just a suggestion. Have a great trip.
