It's even more important for red-eyes (note that Biz on Asiana 744/330 that operates this route have lie-flat beds, instead of the recliner "cradle" seats that A_Lee is referring to).
Don't be fooling OP lie flat is horizontal lie flat, it is actually angle lie flat, many people have trouble sleeping on angle lie flat seats, or either keep sliding down.

Yes, it is redeye, but this route is often flying about 3-3.5 hours flight time, doesn't help a whole lot.

To the OP: $550 is close to Y>C upgrade at the gate for transpacific flights for some carriers. Like DownUnderFlyer mention, it is all up to you and how much money you are making. To me, no, it is not worth it, too short of a distance for that amount of money. Lounge access I already get it as *G. Besides, KA lounge in HKG is not that good, and the gate where OZ use in HKG is far away from better lounges.
