I suggest carefully reading the threads listed in the FAQ sticky, which will quickly bring you up to speed on how things are really supposed to work.

Then you will know when the rules are being followed, or if you are getting a freebie from AC, or when you are being treated badly, allowing you to more suitably manage your expectations.

The funny thing is AC actually managed to piss you off by giving you a long series of free upgrades that were against their own rules, and then not.
