Currently at the Renaissance Hollywood, CA. Other than the location.. Im not very impressed. Absolutely nothing "special" about being a Plat here with the exception of a room upgrade which I asked for after I was given my initial room assignment. My request were high floor with a view, fridge and extra feather pillows. None of these were met (with the original room or the upgrade). Certainly not on the con floor either.

I suspected that a property of this size in this area would have better ammenities as well. I wish the free internet access for Plat would hurry up and kick in. Net is $12.95 a day, used it day one. Needed to run and print something in the business center, $5 for turning on the computer, additional per minute, $1 per page to print B&W. Rather excessive, 10 minutes on the business center computer is a cheap meal!

No market, no gift shop, only vending machines. For a property like this in a tourist, I definitely expected more. Who doesnt need to grab a few things once in a while on vacation? Need a bag of chips... soda.. order room service. Restaurant is currently closed for lunch and dinner, open only for breakfast.

They messed up my billing immediately as well, I gave them $600 in Marriott Cheques upon check in for all incidentals etc (the entire stay was points otherwise), they have been charging all of my incidentals directly to my debit card instead. (My debit is the one attached to my Marriott acct). Went to have them fix this 3 times... still not fixed. Removed my card from my marriott profile this morning.. we will see how that goes!
