Don't think I would describe the very luxurious Portrait Suites as a 'B&B' with all the connotations that word has. It is in the sense that it doesn't have a restaurant (but you're in the middle of Rome - how many restaurants do you need?), or a pool (but tell me which hotel in Central Rome has a good pool), but in exchange it offers a private, comfortable and - as we experienced it - VIP-like experience. To each his own, but for half the price of de Russie, I would take this any time (until, as vienna-resident said, a FS opens).
