Suggestions for bags to take on a long (for me) trip

I usually travel for 3 or 4 days for business. I do that a lot. Maybe 5 days. But I have a trip in early April that is 10 days, so at least twice as long as I am used to. So I am asking for suggestions on what pairing of bags to carry. Some constraints and the schedule are below.

Constraints/conditions are that I will be only carrying casual clothes, including no shoes. I will be carrying a netbook. I would prefer only carry on but I may not get away with that. I would prefer not to do laundry but I might after about a week (travel and locations will make it tough before that. Do to flights, and schedules I probably need more than 10 shirts, in fact probably 12 for the trip unless I do laundry. I could do laundry after about a week so I would need clothes for about 9-10 days minimum rather than 12. No matter what I want one bag that I absolutely know can go under the seat with a change of clothes or two, my netbook and a few other small things. Ideally I would like to also take a smaller bag to carry to meetings containing the netbook and a few odds and ends. It would likely go in one of the other bags.

The itinerary is:

Monday-Tuesday
JFK-NRT (AA business) - 5 hours in NRT (enough to shower and change)
NRT-PVG - (JL coach)

Tuesday night to Saturday in PVG

Saturday
PVG-LHR (BA WT+) 2-3 hours in LHR (again hopefully time for shower and change)
LHR-FCO (BA coach)

Sunday
Train to Florence

Sunday- Thursday in Florence

Thursday (or Wednesday night)

Train to FCO

Thursday
FCO-JFK

Possible combos in order of what I am considering.

B&R 18 inch roller
B&R 231x

B&R 18 inch roller
Skytrain (probably have to check the roller in that case but more volume certainly)

B&R 18 inch roller
B&R 235x (again - probably have to check the roller)

B&R 18 inch roller
B&R Satchel (again - check the roller)

B&R 18 inch roller
B&R expandable overnight computer brief -B&R 104x (probably okay to carry both on but in a pinch could expand a lot and take as a single carry on)

B&R 18 inch roller
B&R 221

B&R 18 inch roller
Medium/large size backpack/bookpack

Any thoughts? Other suggestions? I suppose I could also do the large B&R roller or B&R duffel and check it. I could then put the day bag/third bag in that more readily. Thanks for any suggestions.
