Since the point of the thread is to remind those who may focus more on Marriott that Hilton has a much more stringent account deactivation policy, it doesn't make much sense to move this thread back to Hilton. None of the Marriott regulars here would see it then.
I don't necessarily disagree, but since this has nothing to do with MR rewards, it really does not belong in this forum.
