I had the same experience back in Dec 2006. I was in a bit of a bind in Pakistan and posted my email to Delta on the FT forums asking for advice. I might as well have basted myself in steak sauce and jumped into a piranha tank. I actually re-read the post a couple of weeks ago, though, and had a good laugh about the whole thing.
I reread that thread and was struck by the humor and empathy of the posts, even though they were ragging on the OP.
Some difference from the current atmosphere of this forum!
