I have no problems with the CO coach seat back and its comfort. It is just the seat padding that I find hard. I usually would sit on a pillow to soften, but CO has eliminate pillows.
Many here have commented on the comfort of the AC Y seat, a seat that is at least as thin as the CO seat.

The difference is not only in the padding (all around, not just on the seat bottom) but also the contouring, which provides far greater support.

If I had to venture a guess, I would say AC spent quite a bit more per unit than CO on these seats...
