Schedule change e-mail not received, call not answered by me, apology e-mail!

I have just received an e-mail stating that there has been a schedule change to my booking, and that they had called me but I did not answer. I cannot believe it! We usually know about schedule changes when we look up the reservation on checkmytrip.com, not by receiving e-mails like this one:

Dear BA6501


Booking Reference: ABCDEF


We are writing to inform you that there has been a change to your forthcoming flights booked using your miles. We have tried to contact you by telephone, however we have been unable to reach you.


Please call the bmi Diamond Club department on 0844 8480 808 to discuss these changes between 0800-2000 hrs.

Please quote your booking reference when you call, this will assist us in finding your reservation.


We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
