As an aside, I am flying to Melbourne next Saturday for a week end stay. I was hoping for a Boeing 767 but they do not fly those on BNE - MEL anymore. Thankfully, I have the Boeing 737-800 series and not the 737-400 series. The business class seats are much more comfortable i.e. wider with more leg room in the former than the later.
Amen to that! I just booked some flights to/from ADL and they seem to run a number of 734's on MEL-ADL and MEL-CBR routes. I picked the 73H flights just for the better J cabin experience
I do believe QF does have the odd 767 on MEL-BNE, but perhaps not on weekends. It is mostly 737's though. Funnily enough I noticed during easter QF has a Dash8 on MEL-ADL(!) that freaked me out!
