It was a last minute booking using 40K miles. My 0riginal plan was to just use miles to go to NRT. But HKG-NRT is 40K, and HKG to HNL is 40K. Next time I want to use miles from HKG to NRT, I will take a one hour(12usd) bus from HKG to Shenzhen, and then spend 25K to go Shenzhen to NRT.
