Presumably the OP is using Skype-out to phone a corporate conference call number and just wants to avoid the several hundred dollar charge that a regular phone call from Lizard would incur. Alternatively, if this is a "must attend" event, then the only answer is to fly away from Lizard or rent a satellite phone as backup; every other communication option is not 100% reliable. It is wilderness, after all, and thinly connected.
Yes we are using Skype-out and calling a conference call in number. We've been successful using it in the past, even from rather remote places.
