Thought I'd post this since there's been a decent amount of talk recently about rooms starting to be run down. Looks like they just announced that they are about to do a renovation to all the rooms this year:
The Big Island’s Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa on Tuesday announced renovation plans.
The 521-room property is located on 22 oceanfront acres on the Kona Coast.
During the first phase of renovation, to be completed by the end of summer, about two-thirds of the rooms will receive new carpeting, flat screen panel TVs, and a new coat of paint.
The remaining rooms will be renovated this fall. An Internet lounge is also planned.
The cost of the Sheraton renovation was not revealed, but the plans are part of a $6 billion brand-wide “revitalization” effort for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide that includes 100 Sheratons in the United States.
