We loved the Grand Hyatt Macau too. The rooms was one of the largest standard rooms I've ever seen.
The lounge was very impressive, with ceilings that looked to be three stories high and 3-5 cooks preparing hot food, morning and evening. The dumplings, also available in the morning and the evening, were especially delicious.
The Venetian, which has a large casino and a shopping center with Gondola rides, is a short walk away.
City of Dreams (connect to the hotel) has an impressive number of free shuttles going in many different directions (the airport, both ferry terminals, mid-island near the Grand Lisboa, the border crossing, etc.). If you can figure the free shuttles from the other casinos as well (e.g., Venetian), you can really get around the islands without paying. Taxis are also quite reasonable.
The Dragon's show was worth seeing, given that it was free. The concierge didn't offer us tickets, though, so we had to wait in line.
Several previous posters mentioned poor service. We didn't have any problems (overlooking relatively poor English by the cooks). In fact, the service was uniformly good during our stay.
