Ok, so it upgrades you at the time of booking, i.e. ahead of the normal medallion upgrade order, which means you should be able to pick an F seat with the seat selector no?

How do you check if there's space though, I've heard the seat selector is unreliable...KVS?

Also, I'm assuming that upgrades are contingent on some level of status..or are they really just handing them out?

I guess I'm just confused, because Delta's site says that only a Y fare gets an upgrade at the time of booking, and B, M, H fares are all upgraded in medallion order
