I've been flying American for the last several years with a focus now on flying them almost exclusively and new to FT. I've been PLAT for the last several years and not sure if I can make EXP this year.

I'm looking to cash in my miles for 2 business class tickets between LAX and HKG. We're also looking to visit Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei and Tokyo while in Asia.

Anyone have suggestions on how to book these tickets with the least amount of points? How can I use a stopover, etc?

Roughly how many points should I expect to use?
