American to Resume Reagan National Service on Oct. 26 to St. Louis and Miami
Responding to the U.S. government's decision to allow an expansion of service at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, American Airlines today announced that it will resume daily nonstop service on Oct. 26 between Reagan National and Miami, and restore service between Reagan National and St. Louis that had been flown by TWA. American will serve the Washington-St. Louis route with three nonstops daily, increasing the service to six flights a day on Dec. 2. On the Washington-Miami route, American will begin with three flights a day and increase to five flights daily on Nov. 1.
``Like Transportation Secretary Norm Mineta, we believe that Reagan National Airport is an important symbol of our nation's strength and vitality,'' said Mike Gunn, American's executive vice president of marketing and planning.
