Arrow Hampton Inn & Suites Wichita-Northeast {US-KS}

2433 North Greenwich Street, Wichita, KS 67226

Stayed here for three nights with colleagues (March 2010). This is a nice, new property.

I am a Hilton HHonors Diamond member and all three of our guest rooms were upgraded to king studio suites upon check in without even asking for an upgrade (I am Diamond, one colleague is Gold, and the other colleague had no status). The king studio suites are spacious with a king bed, sofa, coffee table, flat screen TV, work table, wet bar with fridge and microwave. The sink area for the bathroom is outside the tub and toilet area. Counter tops are granite.

Room was very clean. Staff were very nice and professional. Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn breakfast including some type of breakfast meat, funny eggs, breads, pastries, cereals, and fruit. They also had a waffle maker.

The only thing within walking distance is a brand new Super Target next door. Everything else requires a car to get around. This is in a very nice side of town where all of the shopping centers are very new looking. Lots of dining options within a five minute drive. Front desk staff always seemed to recommend local chain restaurants when asked, but I just pulled up the hotel on Google maps and did a search near the hotel for restaurants and found some much more interesting options and had some great meals while we were here. Two I can recommend are the Granite City Food and Brewery and Redrock Canyon Grill.

TV had poor reception one evening. Called the front desk. A courteous gentleman came to my room (within one minute of my call) and said sometimes the wires on the back of the TV come loose - he tightened them up, which fixed it right up, and he was on his way. Fast and professional service.

Overall, highly recommend.
