Also, for flights we need to buy within Colombia, is there a particular website with discounted fares? I'm finding $400 RT to Cartagena, or $266 RT to Medellin. I'm not finding any discount for a RT.
I think the new Cathedral is quite impressive, worth the visit. I guess the concierge of the hotel can arrange either a private or a organized bus tour for you.

If you take a taxi for the day I'd strongly suggest doing the cathedral in the morning and stopping on the way back for lunch at
Andres Carne de Res in Chia -a Bogota institution and worth a trip in itself.

Andres Carne de Res is a MUST DO!

AV doesn't issue paper tickets anymore, and if they do, they'll sure apply the IATA surcharge for a paper ticket issue (around $50, if I'm not wrong).
P5 (Aerorepública) has definitely cheaper fares than AV, and bran new embraer planes, which I personally find very comfortable. They don't offer bussiness class service, but they'll recognize your CO status and give you lounge access and priority check-in/boarding.
