Yes, Im wondering if the OP checked AA on the ex-DFW route as well.

I would love any info to help me decide what credit card /airline to switch to now that Alaska is outa the game.
Generically speaking, I would stay with AS and redeem miles on AA or join AAdvantage. Joining AAdvantage will allow you credit your AS flights to your AA acount and redeem miles MX and AS. However, you really didnt provide enough information about your travel habits.

Where do you fly to on WN and can you move those flights to AS or AA?

my goal is to keep flying on the cheap to cancun non-stop via LAX.

I also have starwood, hilton, marriott about 50 k each a year and earn a free flight on southwest a year. I use United for mall shopping and dining program and earn about 30K every other year.
If flying to CUN cheaply is your goal then you need to stop spreading your earning around. Start shopping with the airline you collect miles on.
