Hi Everyone.

Long time lurker here but I thought I would join the group. I appreciate all that you Flyertalkers have taught me the last twelve years. My partner and I had a double(!) mechanical from ORD-SFO on 23 Feb. We are both 1Ks and received a choice of the following:

$250 e-cert
20% off systemwide
10,000 RDM

As I have way too many RDM and most of our travel is domestic we both took the $250 domestic e-cert. I have to say as a !K MM (almost 2MM)I have never had two planes (both 757s) go out of service on the same upcoming flight. It's a miracle UA had a third 57 handy at O'Hare for our trip. I wondered what flight (if any) had to be cancelled to accomplish that.
