BAEC earn rate heavily penalizes discount economy, more than any other FF plan. Balanced by rewarding J and F travel, with the easiest to earn status within Oneworld. Awards used to be cheap, but no longer, cost is similar to QFF and sometimes worse, so there is every reason to use QFF instead of BAEC for this type of travel pattern.
