Yes, but bearing arms on an airliner is banned (i.e. is not a right), isn't it?
It's best if the same fundamental exception logic is applied on being a passenger as well -- it's already in force for drunks (no, you can't board an airplane if you're visibly drunk, technically alreading making flying a privilege of those who are sober), and it would be good to extend it to wanted criminals as well.
It'd be reassuring to see action by the legislators, though. The current focus on nail-clippers is worrying.
