I was there this Feb. Kauai wasn't that packed. However, book your car rental early. I checked the price and it shot up to $130/day that week. Flight from ORD - HNL was completely full both ways. Oahu is busier. Westin Moana Surfrider was sold out. And Waikiki was very packed (as always).

Still, Feb is a great time to escape the winter.
