I am in the same situation but looking at flights to/from Asia in October, and having the same problem - this must be a glitch; you may need to call to find out which flights actually have space in E+.
Looking closer, its a .bomb glitch..... I cannot find ANY E+ seats on any UA flights (even tried SFO-SYD in July).
