A little late to the convo here, but RWS opened at a promotional rate of 50%, which iirc was applicable up to the Mar-Apr period. I have friends in the media industry who were given the heads up on the discount, and got to stay over with them at Festive Hotel & Hotel Michael. I still think it's a tad pricey, but I know a lot of locals who were keen to check it out due to the promo and while facilities were still new.
